ACE also developed a school smoking-prevention programme which was piloted in a number of local state primary schools.

Community events included several large Family Fun Days. At their largest, these required the involvement of around 100 volunteers.

London Citizens and community campaigning

During approximately 2015–2017, Ayesha Community School was involved with London Citizens, part of Citizens UK. This gave pupils and the wider school community opportunities to participate in community organising and campaigns affecting people locally and across London.

The school community participated in work around housing, community safety, opportunities for young people and issues affecting older and more isolated residents. It also contributed to North London Citizens' housing listening and campaigning work and took part in local street-safety initiatives involving young people.

This work reflected ACE's wider commitment to active citizenship, community responsibility and engagement with issues affecting local families and neighbourhoods.
